In 2000, A. Lange & Söhne introduced a tourbillon and a chronograph, which were missing from the brand’s catalogue. The perpetual calendar was introduced in 2001. Given this, the perpetual calendar module was implemented on an automatic movement (L922.1), and thus the Langematik Perpetual was born.

A. Lange & Söhne has launched the Langematik Perpetual collection in two initial versions, one in platinum with reference number 310.025 and one in yellow gold with reference number 310.021, both with a 38.5 mm case.

The case, constructed on three levels with alternating polished and satin finishes, reflects the brand’s typical engineering approach. As a distinctive feature compared to its Swiss competitors, it features screwed lugs, recessed and mirror-polished.

Each Langematik Perpetual has a rectangular correction button at 10 o’clock and three recessed buttons for individual adjustments.
The first models had a protruding rectangular button at 10 o’clock and three recessed correctors; from 2005-2006, Lange adopted a recessed round button to prevent accidental activation.

The L922.1 calibre houses typical features such as a three-quarter plate and blued screws.
The Langematik Perpetual integrates two main complications: a perpetual calendar and a zero-reset mechanism. The perpetual calendar displays the day, date, month and moon phase.
